Hiram Lodge No. 7 Secures Approval for Historic Renovations

(Nov. 13, 2017) The Hiram Masonic Lodge No. 7 in Franklin, one of the city's oldest buildings, received unanimous approval from the Franklin Historic Zoning Commission to proceed with much-needed renovations. The building, dating back to 1823-1826, has suffered structural issues, including crumbling bricks and instability, exacerbated over the years. The Lodge, which received a $50,000 grant in 2016, aims to restore the building while preserving its historical elements, with work expected to begin after winter.
